Hell.....it's about DAMN TIME

I stumbled upon this video on youtube the other day while surfing around the internet in a cyber cafe while waiting for a dota game to start. What you are about to see now is not for the eyes of a RTS fan for the video is so shocking yet still one cannot help but weep with joy and know that life as it is will never be the same come october 2007. Behold....the dawn of a new era.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kguV1ocWZLw

Lazy to watch the video when you are having sucky internet connection speeds? Well here's a summary for you. Think about one of the most famous RTS(Real Time Strategy) games during the late 20th century. Think of the game that has won countless awards for best RTS game and best game during that period as well. And...think of it as a Blizzard production. Haha caught your attention already? I should have. In the past Blizzard have been well known to create games that were just plain darn good. Their number of games are few and limited, but they always substitute quantity with quality. What's the use producing that many games that no one bothers to purchase in the end? A fine testimony to their latest production; World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade has been a mouth watering anticipation before it's release with a healthy 8 million suscribers playing the game beforehand.

So back to the game, and straight to the point. Starcraft 2 will be out in stores on October 1 2007 worldwide. The trailer, although short and a little too many flashbacks, has set the adrenaline pumping and gave new hope that there's a reason to live after all. With mouth watering CGI cinematics and a continuation to the storyline (i hope), this is one game i'll be willing to part 10 bucks with. When we last played the game, we saw the Zerg emerged as the total victors over the other 2 races with the Terrans(humans) and Protoss completely annihilated and the "queen of the blades" Kerrigan assumming complete control of the Zerg swarms and ultimately, the universe. This time around, both the Terrans and Protoss are back with a whole bunch of new units and kickass weapons that will send a warning to the Zerg that it wont be that easy come round 2.

With the trailer being short and the game demo somewhat simple, there is still a lot of promise for this game. After all, the game is still in it's production stages and any edits can be made at any time. If it's a good award winning game that we want, rest assured that Blizzard have proved themselves over and over again to bring out games that will be featured in WCG tournaments, played in every household, be the talk of town and of course, selling so many copies they'll have enough money to swim in it. And i just hope that they dont know how to swim.

What Have You Done? It's wayyyyyyyy Past Midnight

Alright ladies and gentlemen, as we all know the highly anticipated new album from Linkin Park has been released into stores early this week. Those close to me would have received a sms from me the day prior to the release to remind you all of the coming of new sounds to our shores. Why would this be so important to me? Haha hell, it's Linkin Park we are talking about here. The kickass soldout concert, the raving fans, the overwhelming record sales, the healthy LPU suscribers....let's just face it, they are just our favourite rock band here. Remember the time when Good Charlotte came for a performance here? Ticket sales were not even close to the time when the men of 6 came as part of their tour in 2003.

Right as always, anticipatingly i was waiting for the day when May 14 arrived. Even before that day we were treated to their first single and music video with Chester(my mannnnnn) coming over here to kickoff their album promotion. And yes it was really unfortunate that i did not go to KLCC on that day only because i DIDN'T know what day he was coming down!!!! Hmph....and this is coming from the lips of someone who in the past would kiss his ass. Well, at the very least i did not miss the premier of their single. What I've Done was aired all over the radio stations simultaneously. Every tune absorbed was estacy to me. It's been such a long time since hearing anything new from them...and the wait was worth the while. But after the premier i kinda felt that it shouldn't have been their first single, only because the song was kinda soft and slow. Not the kind of image that you would want to show if you are Linkin Park. I mean, their first ever single, One Step Closer literally redefined hard rock music and in their second album, Somewhere I Belong followed up on the same. This one kinda just...faded out as one of their slower songs. It was a bad sign to me but maybe i'm just expecting too much from them.

And so high were my expectations. The day the album came out i rushed to the nearest Tower Records and purchased it. The white covered album with the band members posted black in the background was somewhat a different approach from their previous albums but what the heck, it was the music inside that mattered. Rush to the car, i placed the cd into my car player and waited.

The verdict came soon enough. I had to say....that eventhough this album was a REAL kickass one, something that Linkin Park has always managed to churn out over and over again, there were some letdowns that were very obvious to the real fans. Or at least to me for that matter. First of all in their second song....they SWORE. Ok...just a check i'm not having a fever or any mental problems but they did say it once in an interview that they do not and will not put any swear words in their lyrics. The reason being that swearing does not really express oneself's feelings and emotions. The word FUCK is just that...FUCK. Nothing else to it. Which is one of the reasons that actually attracted me to their music. Hard rock with dark lyrics minus the swearing.

Then there was the slow songs. LP this time came out with more slow songs than ever instead of their usual dark self. Heck, the majority of the songs were slow in there, with somewhat cheesy wailings at times and song titles. At some point i just thought that life have gotten easy for them and they were just writing songs not based on their past but rather on their present and their future. And i can see that i'm not too far off from that fact. Also most of their songs somehow tend to end abruptly without the usual fadeout of ending tunes that they usually play. Another thing new, but really ANNOYING. After listening to some good tunes the song just cuts off and it's off to the next track. Also noted that their usual "save the best for last" song was not incorperated in this album. Instead, i felt that the tracks in the beginning were better than the end ones, with the last one having those cheesy wailings.

On the plus side however, there were some improvements that took a turn for the better. No more were there tunes that lasted for just 2 minutes but rather they played longer songs with lasting tunes. Also included where GUITAR SOLOS!!! WOW!!! Bravo LP!!! There were NEVER any guitar solos before and they have took the liberty to actually include that. And as always, Joseph Hann always adds a little spice to the heavy guitar stringings with his "spinning touch" of the turntables. This is what makes LP what they are. Unique, heavy and dark with that little tinge of subtleness and softness that makes their songs hard to get tired of. To those still in doubt of getting the album, i really recommend that this is a totally new genre of music that is coming out from them. For those that are still loyal to them, may your continuous support grow. And ESPECIALLY to those not willing to part with 40 bucks to buy their album, this is a real recommendation. And LASTLY, for those that will DOWNLOAD their tracks ILLEGALLY, you watch out asshole.

Yes Milord? Alright....off I go then

Yes Milord? Alright...off I go then. WORK WORK. Haha and those who have played Warcraft 3 would be thinking that i've gone mad. Hehe but hell no...i'm still perfectly sane thank you very much. It's just that this weekend was another one of those funky weekends where i did something out of the ordinary from my mundane, brain dead activities every Saturday and Sunday. Sleep had to be sacrificed, outing times had to be reduced and my weekly dosage of time luxury had to be forsaken. Not that i'm complaining now since i'm on holidays, but somehow...the weekends always make it a little more...special than the rest.

Right. Anyway, what am i talking about you say? Haha why...it's working of course. Part time as a promoter. And what kind of products am i promoting you ask? Hmm...keke what else. The one and only company which i'm so sold off to. Yup ladies and gentlemen, we are talking about the number 1 company for sales of office merchandise, cameras and photocopy machines in Malaysia. It's none other than....Meriam. Lol okok fine...Canon. As if i couldn't get any other lamer. Like father like son, this little fella here has followed in the footsteps of his father and joined up with the company that has fed his family for the past 16 years. For that long, i dont think that offering my services to the company would be any harm. I have loads of time in my hands, i know a great deal about Canon products and i have experience in the line of promotion.

But before the promotional experience started, there was the training. Now that one would be a little tedious and somewhat boring with endless presentations and seminars about the marketing products. Printers of all kinds, scanners and other accessories such as paper and ink cartridges, the training seems to take forever. I was dead thankful that i didn't have to sit through the training for cameras as that was one of the longest and the most tedious trainings due to my experience in that field (thank you God). Product training took the whole bunch of us a full working day, with many experiments and "exciting" tests to be run. The company actually took the liberty to actually show to us the difference of the printing speed between a Canon printer and a HP one. Ultimately, you know which printer came out tops. And to actually make a mockery of the HP printers even more, the time which they took to actually print out a 4R photograph is almost twice as long as that of a Canon. Haha what do you have to say NOW, HP users.

Right...as the product training ended, so began the promotion. I was drafted off to Digital Mall in Section 14 as my first assignment to handle out a dealer's shop. Now the fact that i'm the ONLY promoter there and that this is my first assignment and top it off with the shop being really PRO Canon (the ENTIRE freaking shop is ALMOST all Canon products), i was a little scared and nervous. With my zero knowledge in Chinese education and the mall famous for being filled with Ah Bengs didn't help either. And true enough, the place was crawling with them. As i walked up to the dealer's shop and introduced myself as the new promoter, then came the bombarding questions in Cantonese. Shit Fuck. Responding in Eeee's and Errr's while looking like and idiot, i finally bluttered out "you speak English?" in the most innocent of ways possible. Then came the stares of disbelieve. Like as if you are an unborn of this country, they translated coldly in the manner that makes you feel totally unwelcomed. Shrugging that small feeling off, i started work.

Work was boring enough. Digital mall is like a graveyard in the weekdays, and apparently only the "dead" arise on the weekends. We have the customers from the hottest of chicks (ohhh i managed to serve the sexiest of chicks. But then again....nothing beats REAL beauty and REAL beauty to me only lies with the girl named "E"), the geekest of geeks that bombards you with the weirdest of questions about the technical side of the products (and the thing that really pisses me off is that they actually know the answer beforehand. They just want to test you out to see if there's any chance they are able to rebutt your statements and make you feel like a walking idiot), all the way down to the most uninitiated and naive customers. Now the last category is literally my messiah when it comes to selling because they will believe just about ANYTHING you tell them, as long as it sounds reasonable and you look confident enough. "This one ah, clear or not the printing?" "Very clear wan Sir, all our printers are photo printers that always give you clear printouts"(which is dead true mind you). "Really ah, like that you give me one la". WHOHOO. Manalah dapat cari orang macam ini these days. RM145 added to the cash registry in just.....40 seconds? Haha or maybe he has already made up his mind that he's going for a Canon printer, just wanted to eak out a pathetic conversation with me before the purchase.

And sooner than i thought....time flew by quickly. Before i knew it, the weekend was over. Looking back, i didn't do too badly for a rookie. Managed to sell almost 7K worth of items in these 2 days. And mind you it is my first assignment in a longgggggg time. And my colleagues, they didn't turn out to be that bad either. It was kinda frosty at first, but in time as we broke the ice, they were just as perverted, and jolly as i am. There was time when a young lady walked by and dropped something on the floor. Bending over to it pick up, there was perfect view of her cleavage and hips. My colleague immediately made the gesture of an obscene licking and sucking view to set us all into fits of laughter. Guys will be guys. But from the first assignment i have, i guess i managed to gain a tonne of experience in people handling. There are sooooo many little petty requests and efforts that will make a happy and satisfied customer. And these are the small things that actually turn the favour of sales onto your side. After all...Canon's tagline is "Delighting You Always".

Love is in the Air

Love is in the air, everywhere I look around. Love is in the air, every sight and every sound. Ahhh the famous lyrics sang by John Paul Young to all the lovebirds out there. Meant for those newly couples and those struck by the cupid's arrow, this song has become a timeless classic for those who wants to woo the girl of his dreams. So....as this delusional prick of a writer here has really REALLY nothing else to write and the fact that he's facing writer's block due to the lack of using his brain, he has resorted to writing things recommened by other people. Which is why you can see, he is really writing this not by his own accord...but by others.

Right....love. What about it? Let's start from the top now shall we? Love according to my good friend and honourable reference, Dictionary.com, love is
a profoundly tender and passionate affection for another person. There are so many different types of definations towards it, and it can be used either as a noun, a verb or as idioms. All in all, love would sum up as a strong liking, or affection towards something or someone else.

Right....enough of this "definations" and proper english ballocks and crap. Dictionary.com is mostly used by those that are wanting to write out an official report or some important documentations and require the proper use of grammar. This is blogger.com, use ur damned right brain. Right....against all odds, with the brain creaking like a rusting hinge, what is love to me? Ohhhh....kaka surely gotta get some of you nosy fucks interested out there. Not too long ago did i post up about why i'm single....now i'm posting about love.

Right...love to me i guess would be about the same feelings as expressed in the big dictionaries. Love knows no bounds. Love is blind. Love is stupid at times. Love is precious. Love is time consuming. Love makes you things you thought you'd never do. Love is daring. Love is tiring at times. Love must come from the heart. Love comes hand in hand with sacrifice. Love is pure. Love can be destructive. Love must be a two way thing in order for it to last. Love is sometimes believed to be fated. Love will always find it's own way. Love is NOT homo sex. Love is happiness. Love can be cruel. Love is strong. Love is magical. Love mostly ends up in marriage (again....love does NOT include HOMOS). Love is wanting to be with that someone special for the rest of your life. Love is that feeling you get when you see that person....you experience irregular heartbeats. Love is like your mouth is in your ass, your mind is in your dick and your stomach has been taken away by butterflies....just about the best damned feeling in the world. And of course....love is ALWAYS....ALWAYS happy and smiling.

From time and time....when the mind has unwound a bit....i'll be updating this i guess. Wayyy to darn rusty to think of anything more. To those who wanted this post up, you had your wish. To those who think that i'm a fag writing this...please think otherwise. To those that were touched by this as well...you definately need to read more romance novels. And of course...to those whom i love, to those special to me, to those whom i care about, this is for you...because even a delusional prick can love at times.

Love feels no burden,
thinks nothing of trouble,
attempts what is above its strength,
pleads no excuse of impossibility...
It is therefore able to undertake all things,
and it completes many things,
and warrants them to take effect,
where he who does not love would faint and lie down.
Love is watchful and sleeping, slumbereth not.
Though weary, it is not tired;
though pressed, it is not straitened;
though alarmed, it is not confounded...

- Thomas A. Kempis -
